    in the press Workopolis Nets itself a winning Web site

    imason's work with Workopolis was recently profiled in IT Business.  The full article can be found here.  Here's an excerpt from the article:

    "Our mistake was to move forward a bit too quickly, without planning appropriately," Sullivan says. "We tried to go down the path alone and it wasn't working for us."

    In the summer of 2007, Workopolis attempted to launch a site to support three million monthly visitors. But the results weren't good – the site was slow and unresponsive – it was time to call in some expert help, Sullivan says.

    So Workopolis turned to imason Inc., a Toronto-based IT consulting firm. The Microsoft Gold Partner provided a team of experts that worked alongside Workopolis staff to train them on .Net development for the Web-facing component.

    imason works with The Weather Network to launch WeatherEye GOLF

    On July 29, 2008 The Weather Network launched their WeatherEye GOLF product that was developed in conjunction with imason inc.  The press release from The Weather Network can be found here.  From the press release:

    "We know that Canadians love being outdoors all year and especially in our short summer season. Many Canadians also love being on the golf course. WeatherEye GOLF is part of an evolution for our desktop widgets and downloads and our continuing efforts to bring critical weather information to Canadians, wherever they may be," says Carrie Lysenko, Manager of Online Applications.

    WeatherEye GOLF employs the latest in technology for Rich Internet Applications, Silverlight 2.0 from Microsoft (Microsoft.com/silverlight). The widget was developed as a collaborative effort from in-house developers and designers at Pelmorex Media Inc., and a dedicated project team from imason inc. (imason.com).

    WeatherEye Golf runs at startup, and sits on the user's desktop providing the current temperature for the user's favourite golf course.

    With a simple click on the icon, the application opens to show the full short-term forecast.  The application also shows sponsorship by Nike Golf Canada.
